Project ECHO on Racism in Nursing
National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing
From March to June, 2024 Project ECHO on Racism in Nursing is being conducted as part of the ongoing work of the National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing, a multi-organizational collaborative of leading nursing organizations to examine the issue of racism within nursing nationwide and the impact on nurses, patients, communities, and healthcare systems to motivate all nurses to confront systemic racism.
National Public Health Week 2024
CEP Education Foundation Supports NPHW
National Public Health Week is April 1 – 7, 2024. Public health is more than just health care. It’s the steps we take to make sure our neighborhoods and environment are free from pollution. It’s making sure our food and water are safe to eat and drink. It’s also the relationships we foster in our communities. We’re all interconnected. When we all come together to support public health, all of us — individuals, families, communities and the public health field — can achieve the goals of public health.
Making a Difference Through Action
American Public Health Association
Nurses must be actively involved in health action at all levels. This tool developed by APHA helps us collaborate with others to make a difference at the federal level. In particular, the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, No. 19-1392 (U.S. June 24, 2022), which overruled Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973) holds that there is no constitutional right to abortion. We as nurses need to advocate for women’s right related to their reproductive health.

Nursing Administrator COVID-19 Study
Nursing administrators are invited to participate in a new study exploring the experiences of academic nursing administrators in undergraduate nursing programs with social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. the study is being conducted by Vineta Mitchell is the recipient of the J. Christopher Rainey Dissertation Grant administered by the Chi Eta Phi Education Foundation.

What can we do today to create a better, more equitable tomorrow?
